Höfner has been making stringed and fretted instruments known for their quality and innovation since 1887.

The distinctive 500/1 amplified semi-acoustic bass launched in 1956 rose to fame as the “Beatle Bass” thanks to one Sir Paul McCartney. Today, Höfner continues to build fine quality, handcrafted hollow-body and bass guitars for new generations of players and collectors.
