Andy Babiuk

Andy has been a professional in the music industry for more than twenty-five years. He is a staff consultant to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and consultant to major auction houses in London and New York.

He is the author of the critically acclaimed and best-selling book Beatles Gear: All the Fab Four’s Equipment, From Stage to Studio. Beatles Gear has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide and has also been published in German and Japanese. Babiuk has become the foremost authority on the equipment used to create the Beatles’ music. His experience and expertise has also been enlisted by major instrument manufactures, such as Gibson, Epiphone, Hofner and Fender in creating historically accurate reproduction of the Beatles’ equipment. He has been interview on ABC, NBC, NPR, CNN, and the BBC, and his work has been published in Rolling Stone, Guitar World, and Guitar Player magazines.

Andy has written, performed and produced multiple albums and continues to tour throughout the world with his popular band The Chesterfield Kings. Babiuk has been working on a follow up to Beatles Gear entitled Stones Gear – a history of the equipment used by The Rolling Stones. Andy is currently finishing a book on the History of Paul Bigsby for Fred Gretsch to be published in 2008.

Rob LaVaque

Rob has lived and breathed music gear for all of his adult life. Always looking to be around anything musical, he started working at a local music store his first year of college. A professional in the music industry for more than twenty-five years, he's toured the world with platinum recording artists ranging from Greg Lake of ELP to Richard Marx. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, he has written, performed and produced albums, songs, film scores, and TV commercials. He even busts out occasionally to perform with his critically acclaimed Pink Floyd show “Dark Side of the Moon”.

A serious knob twiddler, he programmed factory sounds for the groundbreaking Nord Lead 1 synthesizer. With a degree in electronics, he has a great understanding of musical equipment both inside and out. The bottom line is Rob knows gear, and not just by the cardboard boxes they come in. His unique blend of creative, technical, performance, and studio experience allow him to better serve his customer’s needs.
